Bangladesh and India share 4,096 KM long international border, which is fifth-longest land border in the world where cross border trafficking is a major problem.

Thousands of people mostly from underprivileged socio-economic conditions are enticed to India by traffickers in the vicious circle of forced labour, sexual brutality, and forced matrimony.

BRAC has piloted and is now expanding the 4Ps model to reduce this cross-border trafficking. Thanks to H.E. Mr Vikram Doraiswami, High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh, for your time and valuable insights today.

Special Thanks to Asif Saleh Bhai, ED of BRAC for the leadership to combat human trafficking.
